about us

Salon 322 opened its doors in March 2010. Owner Maria Summers named the Salon “322” in honor of her birthday, which was the exact week the doors opened. Starting the business with just her and mother (Bev) working the front desk, Maria was backed with the support of her father, husband and siblings; Salon 322 quickly built up to six stylists, a spray tan technician, makeup artist and pair of receptionists.

Salon 322 takes pride in cultivating a professional and clean environment while they focus on making each client look and feel their best. They stride to offer a “comfortable”atmosphere where every stylist greets you with a smile, and makes sure you walk out satisfied. The Salon 322 team is constantly learning new technique and styles through ongoing continuing education.

Salon 322 stresses the importance of staying in touch with ongoing changes in the beauty field. The salon is well known for bringing awareness to the different struggles that touch some of their clientele. In years past they have held fundraisers to give back to the community. Some of which are benefits for breast cancer, shipping care packages to soldiers, autism, and collected goods for the May Center for Early Intervention. Over the past 4 years, Salon322 has proudly become part of the CT chapter of Bike MS, where the staff has raised over $20,000. They have been the honorary team to cut the ribbon at the bike event for the past 3 years. Some significant awards Salon 322 has received is the Western Massachusetts Top 25 woman in business award and the Stavros Paul Winske access award of 2013 for their handicap accessibility.
